Wellstowne Worlds |
Wellstowne Frontier is the second Minecraft world for Pixelated Pickaxe, and was a bit of a transition world while waiting for the 1.0 release of Minecraft. Following the addition of Creative Mode in Minecraft Beta 1.8 only a couple weeks after the world was started, free-for all-creative mode building was given to the members. Server mods expected the 1.0 release to be just around the corner, and when it did, Wellstowne Frontier was quickly replaced with New Wellstowne.
Unlike Wellstowne Classic, which was retroactively named, Wellstowne Frontier was given its name from the start, and would start the tradition of naming worlds "Wellstowne _____" (with the exception of the immediately subsequent world, New Wellstowne). The name was chosen by Nathan Wells to inspire parallels to the Wild West days of America.
