Even though activity on the previous world, Wellstowne Homestead was still relatively strong, the Minecraft 1.7 update, "The Update that Changed the World" introduced a complete overhaul of Minecraft terrain generation, so it was thought best to start a new world, although many wished to bring some of the structures, or even whole islands from Homestead to the new map. Likely as a result, the world was one of the shortest running in PPX history, only lasting longer than the intentionally temporary Wellstowne Frontier, and most active members from Homestead did not participate greatly, in part due to the loss of progress from their Homestead projects. Most of the community activity centered around a small community called the Confederate States of Wells.
