Wellstowne Anniversary is the 15th Pixelated Pickaxe Minecraft world. It was simply known as "Interim" for nearly two months. PPX had been gearing up for a new world with the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update, but on the announcement that the update would be split, and that the caves and cliffs themselves would not be released till the end of the year (2021), the decision was quickly made to have at least one interim world with the expectation that once Minecraft version 1.18 "Caves and Cliffs part 2" was released that a new world would begin.
Other than having a definite (but not precisely known) ending date, Anniversary was also unusual for other reasons. In particular, player inventories and ender chest inventories would be carried over to Wellstowne Deep in Minecraft 1.18, allowing the interim world to be a jumping of point. Anniversary also had a unique spawn, a tundra, which would normally be avoided.
Many players joined in a community project led by The_AJAXX, Krisderpy, and Sapphire_Feather, to create a medieval village with a keep on a hill. Many of the new blocks feature in this village, especially deepslate and copper.
