On September 19, 2022 Brodie Snavely ate cat food as a result of Chance moving to Eureka. This is the most elaborate ruse in PPX history.
Preface
Early 2022
Around mid-February of 2022, Chance Wen was running into unexpected difficulty finding a new job in Japan that was outside of a teaching career. While he wanted to stay in Japan, options in career growth felt limited at the time, with the options presented. At around the same time, Chance had been in regular contact with Nathan Wells outside of the main PPX chat. In the months prior, discussions (while only more hypothetical at the time) about doing work had occurred on a regular basis. With how the job hunt was going, which fell short due to a perceived lack in real-world skills, Chance felt he was in need of finding means to build that experience. Moreover, he was also looking for a challenge and an opportunity to do something more than just work at another desk job, which is what teaching had become. As a result, after some deliberations and discussion with other family, friends, and other confidants, Chance (as well as Nathan) had decided to pursue the idea starting a company in the US.
In Relation to PPX
The intention was to initially announce the plans to the rest of the PPX community, however, an interaction between Brodie Snavely and Nathan on the 14th of May incentivized the two to keep quiet.
May 14, 2022
The interaction started following a conversation between Nathan, Brodie, Chance and Brady Coles about the video game, Factorio, and a vague interest by Chance to play the game again. Brodie, knowing that Chance had not played any video game in recent months, made an off-handed, none-serious wager on this condition.
Upon seeing this, Chance messaged Nathan directly.

Upon introducing the idea to Nathan, he quickly conveyed it to the main PPX chat.

Preparation
From that point forward, it was imperative that the secret be kept. In the meantime, Nathan and Chance began coordinating a plan to reveal the news to Brodie and the others. All news about Chance going to Eureka was obfuscated to the PPX group during the following months. At the same time, Nathan began working on a means to deliver the can of cat food to Brodie that would not make him suspicious.
Final Execution and The Payoff
In mid-September Nathan shipped Brodie a birthday gift, and organized a group video chat for September 19 at 6PM EST to watch Brodie opening the gift. Notably, Chance, recently returned from Japan, was going to be able to make it. Brodie opened the gift to find a hand made Minecraft sign with the text "Damn bitch, you live like this?", made by hand by Nathan Wells, a gift Brodie had requested previously.
Nate then told Brodie to look on the back of the sign, which had a printout of a screenshot of the above discord conversation. At the same time, Chance walked into frame behind Nathan, indicating that he was in Eureka.
Deeper in the package was a spoon, a can of cat food, and a package of mint Tic Tac's. Brodie ate two bites of the cat food before eating half the Tic Tacs in one bite.
Nate and Chance revealed that they were starting a multimedia business and Chance was moving to Eureka.
