Episode 25 Spider Dungeon Challenge part 1 is the 25th episode of the Pixelated Pickaxe (Youtube series) by Nathan Wells. This is the first episode of a single player challenge where Nathan loads a world where the spawn point is inside a spider spawner dungeon, and there are particular challenged to be completed around that spawner. Nathan manages to survive initial contact with the spiders, and escapes the dungeon with a few hearts to spare, plus some loot from the dungeon, including bread, a saddle, and four pieces of iron. He collects some wood and finds a cave for the night, where he mines some coal and builds a simple shelter.
Nathan notes that it is June 17th (2011), and that the day before was very special for two reasons, it was his birthday, but more importantly it was Captain Picard day. In honor of the Star Trek captain, Nathan uses a Picard skin and names the world 'Make It So'. He also sings the "Captain Jean Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise" song while mining coal, and more Picard references.
Nathan also notes that he is simultaneously hosting the server for Wellstowne Classic, which he initially hosted on his own computer, which may explain the lag and stuttering he complains about in this episode. Of note is that BestTux and UniLego were on the server while this episode was recorded.
